A family of four in the West Village needs to hire a part-time (weekend coverage) nanny to assist with Friday through Sunday care for their infant and toddler. Responsibilities include creating fun, age-appropriate activities; preparing healthy meals and snacks; maintaining sleep and feeding schedules for both children; monitoring developmental milestones; caring for the children’s rooms and belongings; and helping to keep the homes neat and tidy. All applicants must have prior experience caring for young siblings of similar ages, be comfortable around water, and be seeking a long-term commitment with a family. A driver is preferred but not required. Candidates must be CPR certified or willing to obtain certification. The family spends summers and occasional weekends at their secondary home in the Hamptons. In the city, the schedule is typically Fridays, Saturdays, and occasional Sundays from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM, with flexibility to stay later as needed. In the Hamptons, the schedule will include Fridays (ideally arriving late Thursday evening), Saturdays, and approximately half of the Sundays during the summer, working from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
